Ihaw Kamayan | Cainta, Rizal

I found another gem in Cainta again last weekend night. My family was looking for a place to eat when we passed by Ihaw Kamayan.

Location: A. Bonifacio Avenue Cor. M. L. Quezon St., Cainta, Rizal (near Parola, in front of M Lhuiller & Cebuana)

Average Cost: Php 200/pax Approx.

What I like about this place:
☑️ Rustic and Vintage Vibe and I'm a fan of those themes!!!
☑️ Plays real chill acoustic cover music
☑️ Not a fan of fine dining, from the name itself, Kamayan style dito besh!
☑️ Their staff were friendly

The place is relatively small upon looking at it, little did I know they still have tables upstairs! Nice. This cool washing area had really caught my attention. I mean, this is genius, man! I'm really a fan of anything vintage, recycled/upcycled and quirky stuff, sorry for exaggerating. :P

One side of the resto is decorated with these vintage plate cars and I instantly got fascinated. We were not seated here, but I got the chance to snap some photos when the couple seated here left earlier than us! Yehey for that!

Our food.
  • Inihaw na Boneless Bangus with Itlog na Maalat and Cheese - around Php170
  • Inihaw na Hito - around Php120
  • Ensaladang Talong - Php65
  • Pork Barbeque - Php35 each
  • UNLI RICE - Php 19/head

I wanted Inihaw na Pusit but it's not available at that time. Pero masarap naman yung hito. 😁

Inihaw na Bangus with salted egg and lots of cheese and tomatoes!

Unplanned food trips are the best indeed!

Marlew Resort

Are you from the East? Are you looking for a quick getaway this weekend but kind of broke? Well  buddy Marlew Resort is the place to be!

How to Get There:

If you're coming from Shaw/Crossing/Starmall/Cubao:
- Take an FX/Jeep bound to Binangonan
- Alight in Optimus, Tayuman
- Walk for about 10 mins. towards Marlew Resort (you may opt to hire a tricycle if you have heavy bags)

If you're coming from Antipolo:
- Take a Jeep bound to Crossing
- Alight in Tikling
- Take a Jeep/FX going to Binangonan
- Alight in Optimus, Tayuman
- Walk towards Marlew Resort

Binangonan is just about 1.5 hours from Manila and if you're already from Rizal you will be here in a jiffy! They have spacious parking area for those who are bringing there cars, super affordable rates, not crowded and relatively wide resort for that much-needed fresh air!

Rates
What I like about this resort is that, it's well-maintained. There are trash bins on each cottages, you would see personnel who would occasionally sweep off falling leaves, or pick it out of the pools.

And if you get tired of swimming, you can try other activities like playing volleyball? Or perhaps play billiards or play videoke. :)

I think this place is a cool venue for prenup sessions too!

Kiddie pool
For the feeling-kiddos as well!

We had real fun spending our weekend at Marlew Resort. Not to mention that we did not deal with the traffic going home like the once we deal with when going North or South.

And for the vlog....

Enjoy bu-bye!
